three moon crab
24" x 38" oil on aluminum

We've been crabbing a couple of times this month, and I decided to paint a Dungeness before he was cooked. They are the most beautiful violet red, with yellow green and yellow orange here and there. I surrounded him with greens, both cool and warm... stars, moons ocean, sky.

Well I've sure missed a lot of your new paintings while being on the road across the US. They are gorgeous, and I appreciate your descriptions of what you were thinking re. color selections, etc. So sad we didn't get to see you this summer, but I know you've got your hands full. You have a big rain-check with us coming up! Glad to see you're busy making such marvelous work!
