I've been promising myself for years that I would have an annual studio sale and let go of some of the work that hasn't found a home throughout the year, talk to people about my work and show them my process...
every year I say I will do this. every year it is a resolution. every year so far I have failed.
That's why I'm extra happy to invite you...
to My First Annual Years End Open Studio !
I'm brushing out the studio corners!
I'll have newer work, older work, odds and ends, experiments, even a few paintings!
and
I'm making cookies for you.
or buying some for sure.

I'm having a wonderful time painting large still life's for a restaurant project. I have been used to doing smaller work when painting still life, and hadn't quite adjusted to the windowsill arrangement in my new (two years !) studio. Heather has given me a jump start, inspiration wise, as this project has a very short deadline. no time to second guess myself. My family and friends are helping take care of me so I can do this, and I appreciate them.

my patron has asked to see some work that is abstract, vibrant, hip, contemporary. She said to "think fruit." I'm really enjoying this challenge, even if I'm cheating the abstract part, just a little:)
