evergreen
16" x 20" oil on aluminum
$750.00
I've reworked this painting, which i was calling rainy day dream. I straightened up the arch, and ended up making some significant changes in color. I was trying to include many icons of our life here in the Willamette valley, and Portland in particular, the city of roses.

thirteen stars snapper
22" x 28" oil on aluminum
for Heather
When I was at the fish market I found these amazing red snapper. Their faces are unbelieveable, otherworldly, but somehow weirdly human looking. They are so dramatic, I wanted to put them in a dramatic environment. I painted snapper companions.

golden trout moon
22" x 28" oil on aluminum
for Heather
I found these golden trout at the pike stree fish market in Seattle. they looked so remarkable I had to bring some home to paint, because I wasn't sure I would trust the photographs I took. They seemed almost albino, almost transparent. so delicate, I painted them all in high key, to accentuate their very fragile seeming beauty.
